Boss vs. Leader

Many on our team are or have been bosses or business owners  so we thought it would be good to talk about the difference between a boss and a Leader.  It’s important to change hats as we start to build our businesses.  We are leading an all-volunteer army here.  As a boss you manage but as a leader you Inspire.  As a Boss you directly tell what to do. As a Leader you guide and suggest. As a Boss you control, as a Leader you encourage.  As a Boss you correct and as a Leader you compliment and point out what was done well because you are developing Leaders.  Bosses want to be respected.  When Leaders lead well they are appreciated.
